FAMILY FAVORITE - Chicken & Vegetables Stir Fry

Those times when your tongue is craving for something good but your body and mind just don't feel like doing much? I usually made this. It's not only simple because you get the protein (meat) and vegetables in one work and serving!

INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons oil, for frying

1 lb chicken, cubed

Salt & pepper to taste

Whatever available vegetables, sliced

-- For vegetables, I would go with broccoli, mushroom, baby carrots, green beans, practically whatever I have available at the time!

SAUCE

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

2 teaspoons sesame oil

⅓ cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 cup chicken/ beef broth

¼ cup flour

HOW-TO

  1. In a large pan on medium-high heat, heat up 1 tablespoon of oil. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until cooked through and browned. Remove and set aside.

  2. In the same pan, add another 1 tablespoon of oil and add your vegetables. Stir-fry until cooked. Remove and set aside.

  3. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar broth and mix well. Add flour bit by bit, keep whisking to avoid clumping until everything mixed well.

  4. Return chicken and vegetables to the pan, stir until heated through and covered by the sauce.

  5. Serve with white rice and Enjoy!
